| This entry level, full-time marketing assistant assists our enthusiastic team at Outer Coast Seaweeds Ltd., in Sooke, B.C. We are a dynamic, cutting edge business that manufactures premium Seaflora wild organic seaweed skincare for leading spas, salons and health / wellness professionals. Our products embody ocean and seaweed craftsmanship. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a sound understanding of marketing principles and of new marketing technologies. You are a team player, innovative with a good eye for visual layout and detail. With the guidance of our marketing team, you provide accurate technological assistance with internet, website, ad print and merchandising materials. You have the ability to effectively present and respond to questions from our team; to prioritize changing requirements in our dynamic environment and can work under pressure to deadlines. You are organized and keep our marketing content information, graphic files and design work sorted for ready accessibility. You are familiar with digital camera equipment and able to photograph our exciting products as well as on-site location shots of our beautiful wild west coast. All marketing concepts and design work are communicated to the Sales Team prior to finalizing advertising, print work and product related changes. As directed, your responsibilities include: Regular e-mail promotional notifications and promos to clients. All photographic material towards merchandising material, website product updates. New visual concepts and design updates for merchandising materials: manuals, brochures, posters, promotional cards. Maintenance and updates of our Marketing Calendar Monitors website and updates graphics and content text where required including blogs, videos, Maintains product label updates reviewing for consistency, accuracy and print quality. Performs all clerical duties associated with above responsibilities including databases, files & SOPs Prepares for weekly review with team to ensure communication on project follow-through Monitors Google and Facebook ads and assists with analysis Reviews social media: Blog, Facebook, Twitter to understand trends and requirements Assists and performs other tasks as directed Stays current with trends and technology by reading journals, seminars, attending tradeshows and workshops. Obtains product knowledge through Company training sessions, instruction manuals, newsletters and general research of product literature and websites This full time position is available immediately.
