T’Sou-ke First Nation is looking for Campground Attendants for Sooke Potholes Campground – Kleee-
land (Spring Salmon Place)
This contract will be full-time 40 hrs per week May 10, 2021 to September 17, 2021. Requires weekend
work.
The Campground Attendant will report directly to the Campground Caretaker.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Conduct routine clean-up of all camping facilities and grounds
• Assists in ensuring all park buildings, vehicles and equipment are secure
• Takes steps to repair or secure any hazardous conditions and notify immediate supervisor
• Provides information to park and visitors in a positive, courteous and professional manner
• Responsible for cash handling
• Educates park visitors in park protection regulations and regulates when required in a positive,
courteous and professional manner including issuing camp permits, collecting revenues and
registering campers
• Ensures all work is performed in accordance with Worksafe BC Regulations and that all required
data collection forms and other reports are completed and submitted
• Operates standard power tools and equipment
• Follows all T’Sou-ke First Nations Policies and Code of Conduct

Qualifications:

Key Knowledge and skills:
• Valid Worksafe BC Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certification
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills are
required
• Experience in public relations and able to work cooperatively in a team environment with
campground staff
• Basic knowledge and experience in the operation of small equipment
• Able to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
• Previous experience in related fields of work with a demonstrated interest in campground
work
• Dealing with difficult situations in a positive, courteous and effective manner
• Physically fit and able to perform heavy manual labour in all weather conditions
• Must possess a criminal record check
• Must possess a valid BC Driver's Licence
