West Shore Parks & Recreation is looking for exceptional summer staff to deliver a variety of exciting recreation opportunities to the children of the West Shore. The Summer Pre/Post Camp Leader will develop, plan and implement daily recreational activities and weekly themes for day camp programs for children 5-12 years of age. Responsible for providing opportunities to cultivate friendships, experience a wide variety of sports, games, arts, crafts, special theme based events, and the development of lifetime skills.
Pre/ Post Camp Leader position must be a minimum age of 16 years prior to June 22nd 2019
Minimum of 180 hours of direct experience planning and implementing programs for youth in a public recreation setting.
Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C are required prior to commencing employment.
Skills, knowledge and experience with specific areas such as sports, arts, crafts, and drama are required for some positions.
Communication and organizational skills required.
Ability to be imaginative and flexible to ensure a fun environment is created for participants.
Customer service and public relations skills required.
Ability to work independently and as part of team.
Must enjoy working in an indoor or outdoor environment.
