We are a federally registered seafood plant primarily processing smoked salmon and canned smoked salmon.
Of late we have expanded into processing products into tubes such as creamy garlic or tomato paste or pesto. We also process (thermally process) soups and stews.
You will work in all aspects of the plant from work site set up, portioning, packaging, vacuum packing labeling and box up. Training is provided however experience in a commissary or food plant or large scale restaurant would be an asset.
Work is not heavy but it is ongoing. You must be physically fit.
We are on the bus route however this job might be best for someone resident in Sooke or the Western Communities.
Hours are 7:30 – 4:30 Monday to Friday.
Our ideal candidate will be an upbeat personality, with a “can do” attitude.
