Personal care for a lady who had a multiple sclerosis.
Administer bedside and personal care such as aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, dressing and undressing the patient
Plan and prepare meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding
May perform routine health-related duties such as changing non-sterile dressings, administering medications and collecting specimens under the general direction of home care agency supervisor or nurse
May perform routine light housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making bed
Provide elderly and convalescent with companionship and personal care in client’s home under general direction of home care agency supervisor or family members.
Hours of work will be flexible
Accompanying during doctors appointment only if needed.

$18.95 per hour in accordance with labour/employment standards, after 40 hours of work exceeds per week, employer shall pay 1.5 per hour as overtime pay.
Completion of secondary school may be required. Nursing background
Interact well with the elderly of varying ages and provide activities that are engaging for their age.
First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate may be required or willing to take a course upon employment.
Able to work without being supervised.
Positive attitude towards work.
Flexible in every aspects towards elderly.
Elderly-care or household management experience may be required.
Elderly-care provider may require completion of a training program in elderly care or any related field.
Regular, full-time, flexible time, permanent – maximum of 24 months covers 40hrs/week, 2 days off per week, work hours and days may vary depending on the Employer’s work schedule.
Care is for:

Terms of Employment:
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Days off are on Saturday and Sunday.
2 years in Contract and a possibility to renew .
Pays annual vacation of 2 weeks and pays statutory holidays.
1-30 minutes paid meal break and 1-30 minutes unpaid coffee break.

Reading text, numeracy, good communication, problem solving, decision making, job task planning and organizing.
Must be able to speak, read and write in English fluently.
1 year to less than 2 years of full time paid work experience as a caregiver or in related field or occupation within the last three years.
Nursing experience is an asset; OR 6 months of In class training for Caregiver course.
