For more than 90 years, Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island has been supporting the health of Island kids and their families. Children’s Health Foundation strives to ensure all Island families have access to the health care they need and works to bring support closer to home and help transform the lives of children and youth living with physical and mental health challenges. Governed by a volunteer board of directors, Children’s Health Foundation allocates its funds to programs, services, and initiatives that help Island families have access to the health care they need.
What are we looking for
We are looking for a Creative Content Officer who can bring a story to life. So much of what you will do includes connecting with the families who use the Foundation’s services and sharing their stories. Putting a human touch on the Foundation’s annual reports, designing collateral material , writing compelling content, and creating various other material needs to be a key strength of our Creative Content Officer. A person who tackles challenges in a creative and out of the box way and is willing to roll up their sleeves and help support the small team is the goal.
What you’ll be doing
Our Creative Content Officer is responsible for:
*Maintaining the Foundation’s brand image, voice, and reputation through various forms of media including creation of print materials and print advertisements.
*Creating and writing internal and external collateral content.
*Designing communication and marketing material.
*Working closely with the Digital Marketing Officer to create content for web, social media, paid online ads, and e-newsletters.
*Creating, designing, and executing the Foundation’s print media strategy.
*Supporting the marketing and communications team with social media management as needed.
What you need
*2+ years experience in content marketing
*Graphic design experience with Adobe Suite and a great eye for design
*Ability to write concise and engaging content with excellent spelling and grammar
*High level of organizational ability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tight deadlines
*Ability to oversee and monitor brand image from a holistic view
*Ability to connect and engage with children, youth and their families living with health challenges
*Post secondary education in marketing or communications preferred
