Are you eager to work in a high-energy childcare centre where the results of your efforts translate into healthy, happy children and families? The Esquimalt Military Family Resource Centre is currently looking for a Supported Child Development Aide for our Daycare at our Colwood location. This is a one-on-one supported care term position funded by VIHA for 25 hours per week Monday-Friday with required shifts of 7:30am-12:30pm per day. Rate of pay for this position is $19.00 per hour. Personal transportation is recommended due to limited bus service.

Qualifications:

This position requires at least 20 hours of childcare related education in areas such as child development, health and safety, nutrition, or guidance. Suitable applicants must also be 19 years of age, hold valid first aid certification, and have experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Understanding of the military lifestyle, excellent interpersonal and communication skills where you’re at ease interacting with parents, community members, and fellow staff on a daily basis would be considered an asset.

A criminal record check will be required as a condition of employment for this position.
