We are the one-stop shop for all your Job Search, Career Planning, Self-employment and Training information needs in the West Shore, Sooke and surrounding areas. All our services are provided at no cost to the user. If you're on a job search, come in and meet with one of our Employment Advisors. We can give you information on a wide variety of programs and services to help you get where you want to go. We also have a staffed Resource Centre with computers, fax and photocopier access and resource materials. Our staff take on the role as your personal job search coach, keeping you on track, providing fresh ideas and helping you stay focused.

There is a full range of employment and career-related programs and services offered through various government and community agencies in the Victoria and Sooke areas. While many of these programs require basic criteria to be met, an Employment Advisor can determine your eligibility and give you more information on the following:

• Career planning programs
• Wage subsidies to gain new skills on the job
• Financial sponsorship for vocational courses and programs
• Self-employment programs and services
• Wage subsidy and training programs specifically designed for people with disabilities
• Paid work experience for youth to enhance skills
• Personal management assistance for BC Benefits recipients 
• Programs specifically designed for Youth (ages 15 - 30)
• Programs for People with Disabilities
• Diagnostic and educational assessments
• Referrals to a wide range of community resources and other related services

WorkLink is a non-profit, registered charity serving the residents of Colwood, Langford, Metchosin, the Highlands, parts of View Royal, Sooke, East Sooke, Port Renfrew, Shirley, and Jordan River.

Since 1978, we've helped thousands of people find work. Our services are free to you because all costs are paid for by grants and agreements with several levels of government and foundations.

We are governed by a community-minded, volunteer Board of Directors and staffed by employment professionals.
